I’m a part of Flag Star because…

I’m apart of Flag Star because I love being around football and I enjoy being able to share my knowledge of the game with the youth of today.

What’s the most important value to share with/teach the kids:

The most important value I feel for kids to know is to believe. Believing in yourself and not letting others limit what you can do is a value I feel is most important to share with kids.

Favorite intro/pump-up song:

Thief in the Night by Young Thug

Favorite Sports Movie:

Coach Carter

Who was your childhood sports hero:

My favorite sports hero as a child was Troy Polamalu

Who was your favorite youth coach and what did he/she teach you:

My favorite youth coach was a guy named Sean Powell and he taught me how to work hard, listen and have fun at practice and the wins will come on game day.

Who’s the best friend you made through sports:

Martavious Griffin is a friend of mine from back home. We played basketball and football together and we also did track & field together. He became a brother to me because we were always around each other.

What’s your most cringe-worthy sports moment / biggest failure:

Funny story, in high school I had a chance to score a touchdown but the field was so slippery that when i tried to scoop and score my foot slipped and I fell down and missed the ball. My biggest lesson from that was focus on the task at hand which was picking up the ball.

What are your off-field interests/hobbies:

My off-field hobbies are playing online with friends and spending time with family.

What’s your favorite quote:

“Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.” -William James

Anything else people need to hear??

Believe in yourself no matter what people think and say about you because anything is possible if you put your mind to it and believe!!!
