I’m a part of Flag Star because…

I want to help give kids the same great Flag Football experiences that I had when I was a kid.

What’s the most important value to share with/teach the kids:

All the greatest players have short memories, never get hung up on your mistakes and let them affect the next play.

Favorite intro/pump-up song:

Jump Around by House of Pain

Favorite Sports Movie:

The Water Boy

Who was your childhood sports hero:

Allen Iverson

Who was your favorite youth coach and what did he/she teach you:

Brian Brennan and he taught me that hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.

Who’s the best friend you made through sports:

Ewan from Basketball camp

What’s your most cringe-worthy sports moment / biggest failure:

My team was down 3 points in our playoff basketball game, and I hit an insane 3 pointer to tie the game up with 10 seconds left. But I got so caught up celebrating with my team that the other team in bounded the ball and ran down the court and scored an easy layup winning the playoff game, and knocking out my team, the 1 seed.

What are your off-field interests/hobbies:

Singing and Watching Basketball

What’s your favorite quote:

“ I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” - Michael Jordan
