I’m a part of Flag Star because…

Flag Star is a great environment to be around. Throughout out the years the organization has shown me steps to be a greater human being in all aspects of life.

What’s the most important value to share with/teach the kids:

You win some you lose some, but you live, you live to fight another day.

Every game is going to have a winner and loser, just because you lost doesn’t make you a loser

Favorite intro/pump-up song:

Bring em’ Out Jay Z

I felt like such a boss when they played this song as we came out the tunnel during a Junior Pee Wee football championship game

Favorite Sports Movie:

Like Mike, I thought this movie was so real that I stood out in a thunderstorm and tried to see if my shoes would get struck by lighting just like in the movie…. That gives me a thought, be right back (maybe)

Who was your childhood sports hero:

My childhood sports hero was Lebron James because of the way he carries himself on and off the court. Tried to mimic his style of play on the court, but didn’t work out too great haha

Who was your favorite youth coach and what did he/she teach you:

My favorite youth coach was Coach Brandon because he taught me how to be tough on the football field and would always challenge my knowledge of the sport. He molded me into a student of the game and I look forward to doing the same for young adults for centuries to come!

Who’s the best friend you made through sports:

Best friend, that’s a tough one but I’ll go with my cousin Lynn

What’s your most cringe-worthy sports moment / biggest failure

My biggest failure to me is not living up to my full potential, basketball and football wise! I know deep down I could have done more with the time I had and if I showed a lot more dedication and focus to those sports who knows where I would’ve ended up! But we learn from those experiences and if I see a kid in similar shoes as me I speak up and let them know not to waste their time because this could be “there way out”

What are your off-field interests/hobbies:

I really really enjoy Biking and Rollerblading. It’s a great workout that’s so much fun. You’ll never know where you may end up.

I also play pickup basketball whenever I get the chance, it’s awesome

What’s your favorite quote:

“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”

Anything else people need to hear??

I’m a great individual to talk to about anything, my doors always open for conversation about anything (might not have all the answers but what the heck) So if you see me out there on a field near you don’t be afraid to speak because I most likely wont
