Mac Culpepper
Operations Manager
Born and raised in Maryland, I grew up as a passionate Washington, D.C. sports fan and played just about every sport I could, including football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and, of course, flag football. I attended Our Lady of Good Counsel High School before earning my degree in Sports Management and Business from Xavier University, where I managed the university's rugby team.
I joined Flag Star as a referee in the fall of 2022 and quickly discovered a passion for the organization's mission and community. Today, I oversee league operations/logistics and develop systems and processes that help create a more efficient organization while delivering an exceptional experience for our athletes, families, coaches, and staff.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me watching sports or spending time with friends.

“I want to create an environment where every athlete, family, coach, and official has a positive and memorable experience. I believe youth sports are about more than just competition—they’re about building confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories. I enjoy finding ways to improve our operations behind the scenes so our staff can focus on what matters most: providing a fun, organized, and welcoming experience for everyone involved. Knowing that our work has a lasting impact on the community is what drives me every day.”
